F. No. 279/192/2018-IT (CBDT) relates to the guidelines issued for deduction of income tax from salaries under section 192 of the Income-tax Act for the financial year 2018–2019. It explains how employers should compute taxable salary, consider exemptions and deductions, apply the applicable tax rates, and deduct TDS accordingly from employees’ salaries during that year.
